NAVIGON 40 series: the new freedom of choice in the mid-range

The new NAVIGON 40 series is a group of
devices to suit a wide range of different users. It spans the entire
product range, from the Easy device through to the Premium model with or
without Live Services. It also includes new features to make navigation
easier.

There has never been so much choice: NAVIGON is introducing four new
models with the 40 series. Easy, Plus, Premium and Premium Live are the
names for the new generation of devices: “In no other NAVIGON range is
there as much choice as in this segment,” explains Jörn Watzke, Vice-
President of Product Line Management at NAVIGON. “We are offering four
different models in the 40 series, making it easy for drivers to find
the right navigation device for them. At the same time, our catchy
product names also provide improved orientation when purchasing.”



Features to suit your needs

The 40 series, with a 4.3-inch display, is positioned below the 70 model
range. In the middle of this series is the NAVIGON 40 Plus, which, in
addition to convenient fittings, also has two new features. With
One-Click Menu, three favourite POIs can be shown on the display simply
by clicking once, anywhere. Additionally, users benefit since they will
see a larger map section on their display, as less important information
will be removed. Users can also import their own destinations in CSV
format via the Fresh software easily and organise them into individually
named groups. Active Lane Assistant ensures that you keep your
bearings, ensuring even more safety particularly in hectic traffic
situations: it shows the driver when they should indicate their
intention to change lanes in a dynamic, live accompanying animation.
Tried-and-tested features such as “Reality View Pro” and
“Text-to-Speech” assist in fully concentrating on traffic and ensure
relaxed driving an arriving. Drivers with greater demands in terms of
convenience should opt for the Premium model. It includes all the
functions of the NAVIGON Plus and also enables you to not only make
telephone calls via your navigation device using the Bluetooth
Hands-Free Kit 2.0, but also differentiate between private and business
calls. With the NAVIGON 40 Premium Live, drivers can also access
real-time information. In addition to Live Services such as NAVIGON
Clever Parking Live or NAVIGON Weather Live, the latest traffic
information has also been optimised further. Traffic Live now not only
notifies drivers about obstacles on motorways, but also on main roads
and country roads. The NAVIGON 40 Easy is the best choice for occasional
drivers, for whom simply navigating their way from A to B is the
priority. They can access all the basic features to ensure reliable
route planning at an attractive, value-for-money price.



Prices and availability

NAVIGON 40 Plus, 40 Premium and 40 Premium Live all contain the extended
EU 43 map material, which now also includes Iceland, Moldova and the
Ukraine. The NAVIGON 40 Easy with map material for 20 European countries
is available for €149 and the NAVIGON 40 Plus costs €179. The Premium
models without real-time information are available for €199 and those
with an integrated Live module cost €249. The models will be available
in June.
